The Department of Electronic Engineering (Departamento de Ingeniería Electrónica, DIE), belongs to the Technical University of Madrid (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, UPM). Its teaching and research activities center on the following areas:

DIE develops all these activities at the High Technical School of Telecommunication Engineering (Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Telecomunicación, ETSIT), where it is also located.
